Melea Martinez - Vice President
Melea Martinez is an East Sac resident and a small business owner. She has been a real estate appraiser for the past 19 years and has lived in East Sacramento for over 20 years. Melea has served as a director on the board for the chamber for the past 4 years and has been a member for 5 years. She served as the co-chair of the Taste of East Sac growing the event from 100 attendees to 400. She is currently serving on her second term of Vice President.

Janet Mason
Janet Mason - Treasurer

Janet has been a freelance graphic designer in Sacramento for 22 years. Her passion is working with businesses and non-profits of all sizes on their graphic design, marketing, event promotion, and advertising needs.

Janet is the current Treasurer of the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce as well as the River Park Neighborhood Association newsletter coordinator.

Serena Marzion
Serena Marzion - Executive Director

Born in East Sacramento, Serena has a passion for East Sac and understands local businesses are the heart of our community.

As Executive Director of the East Sacramento Chamber, Serena is able to use her deep roots and vast network along with her 20 year marketing background to connect members and businesses. A veteran event planner, she has been key in transforming Taste of East Sacramento into the largest and most successful fundraising event of the year.

In addition to working with the Chamber, Serena is the founder of Marzion Marketing and Events where she helps her clients define cherished brands and grow their businesses.  Serena believes the foundation of good marketing is authenticity, which may involve storytelling, team-building events, strategic partnerships, and much more.

When Serena isn't visiting one of her favorite East Sac establishments, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband Kale and their dog Murphy and is a current board member of the East Sacramento Women's Club.

Alex Amaro - Director of Marketing

Alex Amaro moved to Sacramento from the central valley to attend college. After graduation he made Sacramento his home. Alex has a true love and passion for being a real estate broker, a mentor, a budding photographer and for traveling the world.

Alex Amaro joined the East Sacramento Chamber in 2016 to directly impact the people, places and the businesses that help the community thrive. You can usually catch Alex running at McKinley Park, showing homes to clients or grabbing a bite with friends at one of our great local establishments.

Ralph Barnett

Ralph and his two children were born at the former Sutter Memorial Hospital in East Sacramento. Ralph graduated from Sacramento State University and in 1974 bought his first home in East Sacramento. Ralph is co-owner of a vintage boutique in the heart of East Sacramento (54th & H Street) and has been in the vintage resale business since the early 90's.

In 2016, Ralph joined the Chamber as a resident business owner. As a business owner, Ralph realized the importance and benefits of joining the Chamber and in 2018, decided he'd join the Chamber as an elected Executive Board Member to recruit other businesses. Ralph prides himself on the number of new businesses he's recruited to join the Chamber.

Mike Brodovsky

Mike is a 5th generation Sacramentian. He received his BS in Business Administration from CSU Monterey Bay. He also received his CA real estate brokers license and started a full service commercial real estate brokerage firm out of East Sacramento in 2011. He has been operating out of East Sacramento ever since. Mike is big on supporting local business’s and serving the youth of Sacramento.

Jessica Coffield

Jessica is an attorney with Murphy, Campbell, Alliston & Quinn, where she practices on general civil litigation with an emphasis on business and real estate litigation. In addition to her litigation practice, she represents California businesses in various transactions, including entity selection and formation, contract drafting and review, corporate acquisitions, and dissolutions.

Michael Green - Director of Technology

Michael was born in Sacramento and has continued to live here throughout most of his life. He currently works as an Infrastructure Engineer for a Sacramento based tech company. Michael is proud to call East Sacramento home and enjoys supporting local businesses and restaurants. He is excited to be a member of the Board of Directors and looks forward to connecting with our valued members.

Cecily Hastings

Cecily Hastings is the founder and publisher of Inside Sacramento, a website and four monthly
community news publications with a print circulation of more than 81,000. Engaging 100%
local content is featured. Hastings founded the East Sacramento Chamber of Commerce in 1996 and has served on the board for more than 24 years.

She is also the author and publisher of Inside Sacramento: The Most Interesting
Neighborhood Places in America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, Sacramento’s first photo-driven
guidebook featuring 101 places organized by 8 city neighborhoods. First and Second editions
had a print run of 11,000.

Hastings is also the co-founder, Friends of East Sacramento, a volunteer-led nonprofit
organization that saved the Clunie Community Center form closure in 2012, raised more than
$125,000 and renovated the historic building and her group assumed nonprofit management of facility. Their group also restored the McKinley Rose Garden, raised more than $125,000 and managed the restoration and operation of the city-owned 1,200 rose bush public garden. Recruited and coordinated more than 100 volunteers annually to maintain roses year-round.

Carl Wenger

A Sacramento resident since 1993, Carl studied psychology at CSUS and had a long career in the hospitality industry which culminated in managing operations and finance for a local bar and restaurant group. In 2017 his passion for investing led him to join Edward Jones, where he provides highly personalized service to local residents and business owners as they work toward their long-term goals.  Outside of work he is active in a number of charitable and volunteer settings, but his favorite role is being a father to two wonderful daughters.

Damon West
Dr. Damon West

Dr. Damon West is a board certified doctor of chiropractic and an expert on health and wellness. Since opening his practice in 1999, Dr. West has become proficient in over ten gentle spinal correction techniques and has helped thousands people improve the quality of their health through natural chiropractic care. He holds workshops in his office on various topics, which include diet, stretching and natural healing principles. He has had numerous articles published, and because of his wit and humor is a sought after speaker at local civic groups, health food stores, and health clubs. He enjoys life, helping others, and spending time with his wife and three kids. His office is located in the historic "Glenn Dairy Building" at the corner of Alhambra and Q streets.
